Did you know? Some Fun Facts About Monkeys…
1. There are over 260 types of monkeys
2. Monkeys DO like bananas, but they like many other foods too. They eat both plants and animals (omnivores). Even though they love nuts, seeds, and fruit, they will occasionally snack on lizards, insects, and even bird’s eggs!
3. A group of monkeys is called a troop.
4. Most monkeys live in trees, but not all of them! Some monkeys enjoy the grasslands of Africa and monkeys in some parts of the world, they live in the mountains.
5. Monkeys don’t tend to stay in one place for long. They eat up the food in one place and move on to find more food.
